An API key is essential for securely connecting and automating access to your exchange account.

Follow these steps to add an API key:

  1. Open the Exchange Accounts page.

  2. Select the desired Exchange Account and click on + Add New Key.

  3. Fill in the following fields:
    - API Key Name
    - Public Key: an alphanumeric string that is derived from the secret (private) key. It can be shared with anyone and is used to encrypt data or verify a digital signature.
    - Secret Key: an alphanumeric string kept secure and private. It is mathematically linked to the public key and is used to decrypt data or sign a digital signature.

  4. Set the expiration date for the API keys and click on Add.

  5. Your key is added now, you can find it within your chosen Exchange account.
